Rob Clark, CFP®

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢

Rob Clark graduated from the University of Missouri in 2017 with a finance degree. Mizzou's finance program, geared toward corporate finance, left Rob unsure of his path upon graduation. Though he enjoyed finance, particularly investing, which he adored from a young age, something was missing. During his junior year, his mom gave everyone in the family the same Christmas gift: Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. For Rob, the gift changed not only his financial habits but set him on a different career path from the one he envisioned.

Rob was hooked right away: reading Dave Ramsey’s books, began following his podcasts, and started a journey of personal growth he continues to this day. In the spring of his junior year of college, Rob started Mizzou’s accredited CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ program, earning a certificate in Personal Financial Planning that allowed him to sit for the CFP® exam.

That spring, Rob also reached out to Dave Ramsey’s organization about an internship, asking that the company pass his resume on to local advisors in the area. Greg Shepardson received that resume and brought Rob on as a summer intern.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BSBA in June 2017, he passed the Series 7 securities exam and the Series 66 exam, both held with LPL Financial, a month later. Rob passed the CFP® exam in 2019.

The self-discipline that earned Rob such significant credentials at a young age continues in his personal life. After college, Rob started a fitness boot camp program, losing over 50 pounds. He continues to work out with a personal trainer three days a week and recently took up yoga.

Rob and his wife Samantha were married in 2022. They currently have two golden retrievers: Truman and Woody. Rob loves to play golf, is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and is a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers.
